Papua New Guinea have stumbled in their World Cup Cricket Qualifiers opener, losing to the United Arab Emirates in a rain-affected match.
PNG won the toss and put the UAE into bat.
The UAE made 223 but PNG's target was revised to 170 from 28 overs after a sustained rain break.
However the Barramundis didn't get close, being dismissed 113 in the 26th over.
PNG's fate looked set when they collapsed to 70 for 8 with Charles Amini the only batsman to make any dent in the scoreboard, topscoring with 24.
PNG play now Ireland tomorrow night.
