Fiji leader calls for prayer ahead of COP23

Fiji's prime minister, Frank Bainimarama, has called on all Fijians to participate in a weekend of prayer this month to help guide the country's efforts at the COP 23 climate change conference in Germany in November.

Fiji is the co-host of the meeting.

Mr Bainimarama said the government was holding a weekend of prayer for its COP23 Presidency through the churches, mosques and temples.

The FBC reported him saying it was a chance to come together as a nation to pray for Fiji and pray that it brings the attention the issue deserves.
