The automotive parts company has been Samoa's largest private employer and is closing its doors after 25 years.

A few employees will be kept on until October to clean up the company's premises.

Our correspondent said final pay packages for Yazaki workers would be paid out tomorrow.

The bed-maker Sleepwell New Zealand will use part of the Yazaki complex for production and is offering jobs to the redundant workers.

The employees were introduced to the owners of Sleepwell at a gathering at the Vaitele industrial zone today.

Jobs are also on offer with Samoa Stationeries and Books.
