Water crisis enters third day in PNG capital

Most parts of Papua New Guinea's capital Port Moresby are today without water services for a third day.

PNG's state water utility for servicing the capital, Eda Ranu says it's working overtime to restore full water supply after a leakage in its water main trunk.

It indicated that emergency water rationing was underway, with full operation maintained to supply Port Moresby General Hospital and Pacific International Hospital.

Social media platforms have seen a torrent of dissatisfaction among Moresby residents since the water supply was cut early Saturday.
