The Tinian Casino Gaming Control Commission has approved the casino license application of Macau-based investor Alter City Group.

ACG plans to build the $1.2-billion Plumeria Golf and Casino Resort on Tinian's Puntan Diablo area.

The investor group said it would build a world-class facility in the 150-hectare property, which includes multiple towers, hotel rooms, timeshare apartments and villas, bars, luxury retail shops, pool and spa facilities, community centers, farmer's markets, and a theme park.

The planned casino hotel itself will have 6,000 rooms with 100 gaming tables and 250 slot machines filling 265,000 square feet of gaming over three floors.
