Korea, Fiji ties strengthened

South Korea has established a development agency in the Fiji capital Suva.

The Korean International Cooperation Agency's regional office is due to open in March to promote cooperation between South Korea and Fiji, along with other Pacific Islands countries.

Fiji's Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the decision to open the office is a recognition of Fiji as the hub of the Pacific, and the progress Fiji has made as a country.
