Ano Pala handed himself in yesterday morning after the Supreme Court this week dismissed an application to restrain police from enforcing an arrest warrant against him.

He was formally arrested by members of the fraud squad after hours of questioning.

Mr Pala then appeared in the District Court where he was granted bail and ordered to reappear on the second of December.

He is accused of conspiring with others to defeat the course of justice by blocking police from enforcing an arrest warrant against the Prime Minister, Peter O'Neill, in June last year.

He denies the charges.
