Fiji Police seize large swag of dope

Fiji police are reported to have have uprooted large quantities of marijuana plants on Viti Levu.

Fiji Live quotes a police spokesman, Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri, as saying the operation saw police and soldiers seize plants on 26 farms between

Natukalevu and Yauyau in the Navosa hills.

He says some farmers were arrested.

According to the police, the seized drugs have an estimated street value of nearly 100 million US dollars.

It is the second major drug raid in Navosa this year.
