Fijian weightlifter Manueli Tulo has created history by winning the country's first ever gold medal at a Commonwealth Youth Games.
Competing at the current Games in Pune India, Tulo broke the Snatch record by two kg's in the 59 kg division with a lift of 97 kg.
He also broke the previous record for overall performance by 19 kg's with a record of 219 kg's.
India won the Silver while the Bronze went to Malaysia.
Manueli has now set his sights on participating at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games and the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Nauru's weightlifter Utako Aliklik took bronze in the women's 48 kg division.
