Reports from Solomon Islands say the overseas partner in Solomon Telekom wants to sell its stake.
The reports say Cable & Wireless company has lost interest and has been negotiating with General Enterprise Management Services International Limited , which is a private equity fund in Singapore.
Cable & Wireless owns 32.6 percent of the shares in Solomon Telekom.
The position was revealed by the Chairman of Digicel Group Denis O'Brien, in a letter to Deputy Prime Minister Fred Fono and Finance Minister Snyder Rini.
Mr O'Brien said since early 2006, Digicel has been committed to entering the telecommunications sector in Solomon Islands.
