Organic farmers in the Pacific are keen to produce and export more organic products to meet demand worldwide.
The Regional Organic Task Force is is responsible for providing technical advice on the development of the organic sector in the Pacific, and is drawing up suitable standards for farmers to comply with.
Members meet in Fiji next week for five days to review and finalise the second draft of the Pacific organic standards.
The meeting is being organised by the Secretariat of the Pacific Community and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
