Formal charges are yet to be laid against seven men in connection with a deadly riot in Kiribati.
Police restored law and order on the remote island of Butaritari, following riots last week in which one man was killed and six houses burnt down when a dispute erupted.
The editor of Radio Kiribati, Roz Terubea, says police are continuing their investigations and the seven men will be transported to the capital, Tarawa, on the patrol boat.
He says they will be charged once police in Tarawa have a transcript of the investigations on Butaritari.
Communication with the island is difficult because there are no phone lines.
