New Zealand String Quartet
New Zealand String Quartet is taking music to the people with its Russian Icons tour, visiting art galleries and new centres. At some concerts the audience will choose the music for the second half via a game of Russian roulette. Violist Gillian Ansell and violinist Douglas Beilman reflect on the past twenty six years together as the quartet prepares for a new lineup.
Paddy Free and Louise Potiki Bryant
Choreographer Louise Potiki Bryant and musician Paddy Free collaborate closely as they juggle domesticity and art. Justin Gregory goes into their home to discuss how they balance the mundane and the esoteric to create the dance work In Transit, for Lumina, a new three dance programme by the New Zealand Dance Company. First aired on Standing Room Only.
Organist Timothy Noon has an exciting new job at the historic Exeter Cathedral. Aucklanders will be able to hear Timothy Noon before he departs playing great Organ works with Bach Musica.
