10:00 Relevant Tones: Jeremy Gill Concerto Release
Composer Jeremy Gill recently had the opportunity of a lifetime when the Boston Modern Orchestra Project agreed to record not one, not two, but three of his concertos. Seth Boustead talks with Jeremy and clarinet soloist Chris Grymes about this fantastic new release and plays as much of it as he can.
11:00 Best of New Music Dreams
Bing & Ruth was founded in 2006 by US composer and pianist David Moore to perform "minimalist ensemble music with a certain cinematic sensitivity, one that prioritized grace and texture over minimalism’s once-radical subtraction." Moore composed the album on 17 different pianos across North America and Europe. He says “For me I feel like different pianos all have their own personalities. So in writing these new songs, I tried to embrace the personalities of the pianos I was spending time with.”
