Composer Jeremy Gill recently had the opportunity of a lifetime when the Boston Modern Orchestra Project agreed to record not one, not two, but three of his concertos. Bing & Ruth was founded in 2006 by US composer and pianist David Moore to perform "minimalist ensemble music with a certain cinematic sensitivity, one that prioritized grace and texture over minimalism’s once-radical subtraction." Moore composed the album on 17 different pianos across North America and Europe. He says “For me I feel like different pianos all have their own personalities. So in writing these new songs, I tried to embrace the personalities of the pianos I was spending time with.”
