9:00 Henri Dutilleux 100
“Magic, mystery, imagination: these, to me, are the elements of the music of Dutilleux”.
This is the centenary of Dutilleux’s birth. Born in the time of Debussy, composing well into the new millennium, his music spans an astonishing history and is like absolutely no other. Charlotte Wilson talks to Kenneth Young about this most individual, enigmatic and appealing of composers.
