In 2013 for Chamber Music New Zealand, Michael Houstoun revisited the cycle of 32 Piano Sonatas by Beethoven that he first presented 20 years before. In this second programme, Michael Houstoun & Tim Dodd continue their conversation about the sonatas and Houstoun’s approach to performing them. They talk in detail about the last three sonatas Nos 30, 31 and 32. In Music Alive at 8pm, Houstoun performs Sonatas with nos. 2, 8 (Pathétique), 18, and 30.
