Musician Dave McArtney was best known for his work with the New Zealand band Hello Sailor.
Hello Sailor hit it big with a self-titled 1977 debut that became the first NZ album to be certified gold, and included that now iconic McArtney song ‘Gutter Black’.
McArtney completed the manuscript for his memoir Gutter Black just weeks before his death at 62.
