Osea Kolinisau's players were chasing back-to-back titles, following their title win in Singapore the previous weekend.

The Fiji men's and women's sevens rugby teams competing at Perth Sevens this weekend will face tougher challenges in their respective pools.

However, the team still retain their lead at the top of the points table, although they are now tied with Argentina and Spain, on 48 points each.
