A plane carrying 230 passengers has made an emergency landing at Warsaw airport in Poland after its landing gear failed.
The Boeing 767 operated by Polish airline Lot circled above the city for more than an hour burning up fuel as the airport was prepared for the crash landing.
The plane was travelling from the American city of Newark, New Jersey.
The airline says all safety procedures worked and no-one was injured.
The BBC reports that nearby streets were cleared and the airport closed to all other flights in preparation for the landing.
Two military F-16 jets were scrambled to observe its progress.
