Constitutional rights sought for killer whales

A court in the United States has been asked to grant constitutional rights to five killer whales that perform at marine parks operated by SeaWorld.

The lawsuit filed by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals says the animals were kept in conditions that violated the ban on slavery.

PETA says the killer whales were taken from the ocean as babies, then denied freedom and everything else that was natural to them.
