Four planes are water bombing a bushfire that is threatening a resort on Fraser Island, off the coast of Queensland.
The ABC reports 500 people are staying at the resort and 50 were moved from rooms closest to the fire front. One guest was treated for smoke inhalation.
The fire broke out early on Sunday night, but is no longer a threat.
Gusty winds are fanning outbreaks from Gympie in the south east to Townsville in north Queensland.
Fore crews in central Queensland are already battling more than 50 bush and grassfires.
