Dozens of women wearing miniskirts have demonstrated in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, protesting against a public official who blamed a recent gang-rape on a woman's choice of clothing.
The demonstrators carried placards reading "My miniskirt, my right" and "Don't tell us how to dress; tell them not to rape."
On Friday, Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo warned women not to wear miniskirts on public transport in order to avoid being raped.
The BBC reports he quickly apologised, but his comments were widely publicised.
Earlier this month a woman, 27, was gang-raped in a minivan in Jakarta late at night.
