One of Britain's best-loved sporting personalities, the boxer Sir Henry Cooper, has died at the age of 76.
Sir Henry was a former British, Commonwealth and European heavyweight champion and was renowned for his devastating left hook.
In 1963 he famously knocked down the then Cassius Clay - later to become Muhammad Ali - but lost that fight due to facial cuts he had suffered.
In 1966 he faced Ali in a rematch, this time for the world heavyweight title, but the fight was again stopped due to facial cuts.
In a statement, Ali said he would miss his "old friend", calling him "a great fighter and a gentleman," the BBC reports.
Sir Henry went on to become a popular television persionality in Britain.
