Pakistan flood crisis could worsen - aid agency

Oxfam says the flood crisis in Pakistan is far from over and could even get worse.

Six months after the worst monsoon floods on thesub-continent in 80 years,

The agency says malnutrition levels in the south have soared and all the aid has only "scratched the surface of human need".

Oxfam says at least 170,000 people remain in relief camps and swathes of land are still under foul water in the south.

Agency head Neva Khan said Oxfam was currently helping nearly 1.9 million people, but this was 'dwarfed' by the number of people in need.

The BBC reports the government is to halt most emergency relief efforts this month.
