Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordgren have divorced, a statement on the world No 1 golfer's website says.
The judgement entered in a Florida court provides for shared parenting of their two children.
The couple have said in a joint statement they are sad their marriage is over, they wish each other the best for the future, and their children's happiness has been and always will be of paramount importance to them.
The couple's marriage came under pressure in November last year with revelations of Woods' string of affairs.
The 34-year-old lost several major sponsors as a result. In February this year, he publicly apologised and admitted that he had been unfaithful to Ms Nordegren, a former model.
Details of the financial settlement have not been disclosed, but US media reports suggest Ms Nordgren will receive over $US100 million.
