The United States government has demanded that the Wikileaks web site immediately hand over about 15,000 documents on the war in Afghanistan that have not yet been published on the internet.
About 75,000 files have already been posted on the site, detailing hundreds of incidents, including the deaths of civilians as well as military operations.
The Pentagon has accused Wikileaks of compromising the safety of troops on the ground.
