Concert-goers in Philadephia have been entertained by former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Aretha Franklin performing together on stage.
Ms Rice, who is a classically trained pianist, played a Mozart concerto and accompanied the 'Queen of Soul' on two of her hit songs:
The event was to raise money for underprivileged children and awareness for music and the arts.
Ms Rice played piano while Franklin sang I Say A Little Prayer and My Country 'Tis of Thee.
The BBC reports they met at a White House function. Ms Rice was President George W Bush's top diplomat and Franklin is a Democratic party supporter who played at President Barack Obama's inauguration.
