One of the co-creators of the top-selling board game, Trivial Pursuit, Chris Haney, has died after a long illness.

Haney, 59, and Scott Abbott, both Canadian journalists, came up with the idea for the game in Montreal in December 1979, after arguing over a Scrabble match.

Trivial Pursuit is played in 33 countries. Sales now top C$50 million.
