Australian police have arrested a man wanted in Croatia for questioning on war crimes charges.
Dragan Vasiljkovic had been on the run since the High Court cleared the way for his extradition more than a month ago, the BBC reports.
He is accused of mistreating prisoners and expelling Croatian villagers from their homes while in charge of a Serb paramilitary unit during the Balkan wars in the early 1990s.
Also known as Captain Dragan, the Serbian-born Australian citizen denies any war crimes.
