An American woman has been charged with conspiring with Islamic extremists to commit murder.
Colleen LaRose, known in the American media as Jihad Jane, is alleged to have used the internet to recruit men and women to wage what the United States authorities call violent jihad.
Prosecutors allege she travelled to Europe after being ordered by unidentified co-conspirators to kill an un-named Swedish citizen, the BBC reports.
She was arrested in Philadelphia in October 2009. It is not clear whether any killings were carried out.
