Roger Federer has produced a remarkable recovery to beat Russia's Nikolay Davydenko and reach his 23 consecutive grand slam tennis semifinal.

The Swiss moved into the final four at the Australian Open on Wednesday, beating Davydenko 2-6 6-3 6-0 7-5 after looking rattled and gone early in the second set, AAP reports.

But the world No.1 turned the match around in the space of a few minutes and went on to win 13 games in a row to shut the sixth seed out for more than an hour and easily claim the second and third sets.
