The American economy experienced the largest growth in job creation in three years last month.
Of the 162,000 thousand jobs created in March, 48,000 were temporary workers hired for the census.
Private employers contributed 123,000 jobs to the economy, the most since May 2007.
Immigration usually adds about 100,000 people to the population each month, and the overall unemployment rate remained at 9.7%.
The figures were not as high as economists had expected, but still suggest the US economy is beginning to recover some momentum.
