Buildings shaken by 6.1 quake in Panama

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake shook homes in southwest Panama near the border with Costa Rica, damaging some buildings, but there have been no immediate reports of fatalities.

The US Geological Service said the quake struck about 7km southeast of Plaza de Caisan, at a depth of 37km.

Panamanian authorities said there was no tsunami alert from the quake.
