The United States Coast Guard says a capsized yacht belonging to four missing British sailors still contained the liferaft on which hopes of their survival had rested.
The Cheeki Rafiki disappeared in the North Atlantic more than a week ago, along with its crew.
The upturned hull of the 40ft Cheeki Rafiki was found on Friday but there was no sign of the crew.
The yacht began taking on water on its way to the UK after an Antigua regatta.
