A man in South Australia has been charged over the slaughter of six miniature horses.
The animals had their throats cut on 22 December in a stable at a farm in the town of Clayton Bay south of Adelaide.
Three other miniature horses in the same stable were unharmed.
The horses were last on show at Mallala, north of Adelaide, a fortnight before.
The ABC reports police arrested a man, 50, on Friday night and later charged him with aggravated serious criminal trespass, property damage and ill treatment of animals.
He will appear in the Victor Harbor Magistrates Court on 3 March.
