Pakistani politician and former cricket star Imran Khan has been discharged from hospital two weeks after falling from a platform at an election campaign rally.
He has been fitted with a spinal brace to aid his recovery and walked out through a back exit of the Lahore hospital, avoiding waiting reporters.
Officials said on Tuesday that Mr Khan had walked unaided for about 300 metres.
His PTI party gained significant ground during the recent general election, which was won by Nawaz Sharif's PML-N, the BBC reports.
Doctors at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial hospital say that Mr Khan will in the short term stay at his Zaman Park family residence in Lahore and that he may still need a couple of weeks of rest.
They said a series of X-rays on his spine had confirmed the continued healing and good alignment of his back bones.
The general election on 11 May has generally been seen as a huge success for his PTI party, which fell just short of becoming the official opposition in Pakistan.
It marked the first transition of power between democratically elected governments since the creation of the state of Pakistan in 1947.
