A celebrated crossword setter in Britain has used one of his own puzzles to let his followers know he is dying of cancer.
Puzzles by Reverend John Graham, whose pseudonym Araucaria is Latin for monkey puzzle tree, have appeared in the Guardian newspaper for more than 50 years.
Those who solved a series of clues in his latest crossword discovered the 91-year-old had a terminal illness, the ABC reports.
Mr Graham says it seemed to be the natural way to announce the news and he was touched by people's reaction.
