People living in high rise blocks of flats in east London have gone to the High Court over proposals to place surface-to-air missiles on their roof during the Olympics.
The tenants say they were not consulted fairly and properly.
The ABC reports residents of the Fred Wigg Tower in Leytonstone are seeking an injunction to stop the missiles being sited there. They began legal action last week.
Lawyer Marc Willers said they feared for their safety.
The Ministry of Defence confirmed last week that the missile systems would be deployed at six sites across the capital during the Games
Defence secretary Philip Hammond has said the ministry is confident of defeating the proceedings.
