The United Nations has declared 20 March an International Day of Happiness and wants everyone to join in the fun.
The UN General Assembly on Thursday passed a resolution proclaiming the new commemoration that adds to a packed calendar of UN international days; from world poetry day to world migratory bird day.
Securing the day was part of a diplomatic campaign by the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan, which has its own gross national happiness index.
