The LinkedIn social networking website is investigating a report that over six million of its users' passwords have been posted on the internet.
Hackers posted a file containing encrypted passwords onto a Russian web forum.
The BBC reports LinkedIn has over 150 million users. It says it is unable to confirm that any security breach has taken place.
