Sir Graham Latimer's family says he's greatly relieved that the High Court has dismissed a civil suit against him by Te Uri O Hau.
The tribe's Settlement Trust argued that Sir Graham and fellow his Trust director Russell Kemp, accepted consultancy fees of $250,000 each, to which they were not entitled.
The court calculated that Sir Graham and Mr Kemp had been paid $260 an hour, for 20 hours work a month, over four years.
Justice Venning said that rate seemed high, but the work had been additional to their roles with the trust, and he accepted they'd acted honestly.
