Kiwa Media head Rhonda Kite has joined the Maori Television board.
Ms Kite, of Te Aupouri, replaces Ian Taylor, who resigned amid political attacks against the channel over the hiring of a new chief executive.
She heads Kiwa Media, a film and television production and digital publishing operation.
Meanwhile, Donna Ngaronoa Gardiner has been reappointed to the board for a further three-year term.
Maori Affairs Minister Pita Sharples announced the appointments and paid tribute to Mr Taylor for his contribution.
