Organisers of the 2014 Ngapuhi festival are expecting a crowd of up to 40,000 people to arrive in Northland next month to see some of the best international indigenous artists exhibiting their works.
The event on 25 - 26 January is hosted by Te Runanga-a-iwi-o-Ngapuhi and chairman Sonny Tau says festival will be the biggest and best ever.
He says the attraction is literally bringing the world to people's doorsteps with some of the most recognised faces in the indigenous art community.
Overseas artists will combine with Ngapuhi and Maoridom's best, with artists such as Bob Jahnke, Sandy Adsett, Fred Graham and his son Brett, Darcy Nicholas, Allen Wihongi and Manos Nathan.
Mr Tau says the the exhibition could rival any exhibition in the world.
Organisers of the biennial festival promise the event will be one of the most spectacular in its 10-year history.
