Maori Television sent off departing chief executive Jim Mather with a poroporoaki.
Mr Mather is stepping down from the channel after eight years to take up a new role as the head of Te Wananga o Aotearoa.
The channel's financial manager, Alan Withrington, will act as interim chief executive after a failed recruitment process in September.
