The head of Maori Television - who is stepping down after eight years in the job - says one of his biggest achievements is the creation of a sister channel broadcasting exclusively in te reo.
Jim Mather is to become the chief executive of Te Wananga o Aotearoa.
Mr Mather says he's had an incredible journey at Maori TV, but it's time for a fresh challenge.
He says there are many programmes he is proud of including introducing the 100% Maori language channel, Te Reo and the coverage of the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
Mr Mather says the annual ANZAC day broadcasts are also highlights from his time as head of the television station.
Te Wananga o Aotearoa is one of the country's largest tertiary education institutions, with 36,000 students.
