The former France first five Frederic Michalak, who is currently on the books of the Sharks in South Africa, has reached a verbal agreement on a three-year contract to play rugby for Toulon.
The Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal confirmed nothing has been signed but there is a verbal agreement on a contract for three years, adding the deal would start on July 1st 2012.
With Johnny Wilkinson dominant in the number 10 position Boudjellal says Michalak could feature at halfback, depending on how coach Bernard Laporte wants to set up his team.
Michalak, 29, played No. 9 as well as first five at Toulouse before he left for the Sharks where had already played in 2007 and 2008.
