A research company says most New Zealanders are going to support Australia in its crucial quarter final rugby world cup match against South Africa this weekend.
Stephen Mills, the head of Australasian Research Agency UMR Research says 63 percent went for Australia while 25 percent are rooting for South Africa.
The favourability rating for Australia overall was by far the highest of the 16 nations tested.
At 74 percent favourable it was clearly higher than England at 51percent, South Africa came in even lower at 24 percent.
46 percent of New Zealanders indicated that they generally support Australia in major sporting contests when they're not playing against us, to 33 percent who say that they generally support other countries.
