Samo could still be on the wing

The Wallabies coach Robbbie Deans is yet to discount the notion that dynamic backrower Radike Samo could start on the wing for them in their final Rugby World Cup pool match against Russia in Nelson on Saturday.

Deans will name his team today with a handful of backs still unavailable because of injury.

Speaking at yesterday's visit to his hometown of Christchurch, Deans says his injury situation is slowly getting better.

Meanwhile openside flanker David Pocock, who was sorely missed in the loss to Ireland, has declared himself fit to play against Russia.
