A former Wimbledon champion says the top mens players who're talking strike action over a crowded schedule should stop living in a dream world.
The German Michael Stich says the current crop aren't playing any more than their counterparts from 10 or 15 years ago, a number of whom used to play singles and doubles at Grand Slam tournaments, and some current players don't honour commitments to the smaller tournaments.
Stich also says a busy schedule allows lower-ranked players to earn a living.
The jam-packed calendar has long been an issue and leading players will meet at the Shanghai Masters next month to further discuss their grievances.
