The Te Awamutu professional Brad Shilton has finished fourth at the South Pacific Golf Open Championship in New Caledonia after a three under par 69 in the final round at the Tina Golf Club in Noumea.
Shilton, who opened with rounds of 67, 65 and 74, finished the tournament on a 13 under par, two shots off the pace.
Shilton will be disappointed and will rue his third round 74 but he had a solid week, led the tournament after two rounds and earned $7000 for his effort.
Hawkes Bay pro Doug Holloway was the next best New Zealander in a share of 21st place with rounds of 70, 72, 70 and 74.
